Blue River
Meandering through the wooded hills of scenic Southern Indiana, Blue River features alternating fast water riffles and slower moving pools.
Rugged limestone bluffs, dotted with caves, often tower high above the river. The width and depth of the river vary, but average depth is about five feet.
River Wildlife
Fed by more springs than any other Indiana waterway, Blue River is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Sightings of deer, river otters, great blue herons, hellbenders, turtles, ducks, mussels, and crayfish are possible.
Grab your sunscreen, throw some food and drinks in a cooler, and head for the river! Adventure is just a paddle away!
